Children are a gift from God. They deserve some love, care, affection and attention from both parents and government in the society in which they are born.
Child abuse in Nigeria is on the increase as many children are out of school either begging, hawking or picking refuse for survival. In an effort to combat child abuse in Nigeria, the Federal Government, in 2003 introduced the Child Right Law to domesticate the Convention on the rights of the child. This is a clarion call to to all the good people of Nigeria to come together and fight this evil act. Irrespective of their social background and religion, children should be treated equal.
